 East 3rd Productions Presents

Its Latest Thought Provoking Workshop Production of

"Mary Esther"

May 27th-29th!

East 3rd Productions, one of New York’s premier theater companies founded to empower artists so they can create multidisciplinary works that span social, cultural, and political lines, will workshop their absorbing new play, “Mary Esther,” by Nick Zagone May 27th through the 29th at The Loft located at 684 Broadway and East 3rd Street, Suite 5W in New York City at 8pm.  There is limited seating at $20pp so reservations are required. Reservations can be made by emailing tickets@east3rd.org or registering here.

Famous American poet and novelist, Charles Bukowski, once said, “Talking about writing is like talking about love. Too much talk about it can kill it off.”  The wife in “Mary ‘Esther” doesn’t talk about writing. She forever lives it.

A woman’s famous novelist husband commits suicide so her world becomes an incessant recreation of his life and writings, as his fans and followers demand a piece of their idol through her.  Mary Esther finds herself caught between her real life and his fantasy worlds, constantly piecing together facts by studying fiction, understanding dreams through memories, and a romance, real and imagined, through a fevered game of “What if…?”
